Course Description

Projects deliver value, people deliver projects, and project managers facilitate the process of bringing ideas to life. Developing skills and experience to raise the level of complexity a project manager can successfully deliver, begins with building knowledge. This program will start the development of a strong foundation. Projects come in many forms, some with extreme complexity, and others delivered by smaller teams. So, project managers need to experience projects managed in a centralized manner with more predictive outcomes and decentralized adaptive projects requiring the highest degree of flexibility. Course Objectives For those new to project management, they will finish the course with the knowledge and skills to lead smaller projects with a low degree of complexity and risk. They will have covered all the basics of the project management discipline, practiced different methods and tools, and built a tool chest ready to apply to their first project management assignment. For seasoned project managers they?ll gain professional development units to apply in obtaining or maintaining a certification. For people that engage as stakeholders they?ll develop critical thinking skills that focus on projects, build insight into areas to watch for problems, and information that allows them to ask more pointed questions. Course Format For professional training the best format is 2 ? days face-to-face. This requires an environment conducive to training where small teams can work together. In the fast-paced environment we all work in, frequent breaks are added so participants can stay connected when needed.
