Course Description

Why do good people do bad things, especially in the workplace? Is there such a thing as a little white lie? Why are employees concerned with organizational justice and sometimes have trust issues with leadership? What should an employee do if his supervisor demands an unethical action? This course will introduce the topic of moral ethics, especially as it relates to challenges that arise in the workplace. We will explore actions that can be taken when areas seem gray and how to avoid insubordination when taking the proper action as dictated by company policy. The course will be taught with experiential learning techniques so tht students will explore the specifics of a particular topic as well as key points about their own strengths and weaknesses. Each topic will be presented as opportunities for "AHA" moments in an effort to foster an environment that allows experienced based learning. Consider each course to be an opportunity for a new journey down a path that you have not explored yet. As we chart our milestone points for this class, let's think about how we can see things through another person's eye. Hopefully, we will be able to paint a picture, especially when a person see gray.
