Course Description

Due to the prevalence of global marital distress and the challenge of inadequate preparation and personnel to respond, the S.A.F.E Certification for Marriage Mentors exists to train and certify persons who can be skilled first responders to a marital crisis in the social environment, like paramedics at an accident scene and also help prevent marital disruptions. This course is designed to train people who know the right thing to say, to do and to be in the event of a marital crisis in their communities. They also become building blocks in creating and fostering safe emotional environments in families, organizations, and communities. This class is offered in two formats: online and in-person. Virtual meetings Tuesday evenings from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. More information about the virtual meetings, including valid links and any adjusted times, will be provided in class and in the syllabus. In person meetings are held Thursday evenings from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. More information about location of in-person meetings will be included in class and in the syllabus.
