Course Description

This course is designed to provide the student with an introduction to the Chinese wellness art of Taijiquan Qigong 18, Taijiquan Stretching and the Total Relaxation Response meditation technique. Some of the benefits of regular practice of qigong are improved overall health, improved flexibility, and increased oxygen intake through improved breathing technique. The focus of the course is on learning the 18 exercises in the Taijiquan Qigong 18, which is one of the most popular qigong sets in the world. The exercises are based on the Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan and are relatively easy to learn. Most students are able to perform the exercises after the first class.
